1. Lil Nas X
Since the musician broke out on TikTok in 2018 with Old Town Road featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, he’s been making headlines with his bold bedazzled looks.
For his Met Gala appearance Monday night, the musician opted for something completely different — he covered himself in silver body paint and pearls. He worked with makeup artist Pat McGrath who spent nine hours spray painting his authentic silhouette and then adding 218,784 round flatback Swarovski crystals and white pearls to his entire frame. He paired the look with a silver thong and gogo boots.
The “Industry Baby” singer posed like a Greek adonis and had fun hamming it up for the cameras. He even threw in a lap dance for the devil!
Lil Nas X was one of the first openly gay Black artists to shake up country music. He’s also the first Black queer artist to top the charts in both the US and UK with Montero (Call Me by Your Name) and Industry Baby.
